I’m with Shark – indigenous trees rule!! Although I don’t mind conifers so much as the selection of palm trees found in larney gardens everywhere. WTF? They don’t give much shade, they are messy and many kinds suck up water like a student after RAG.
Would you believe it – it’s the capital of Honduras, which is a central American country. (Just in case anyone feels the need to Google Honduras.)
It is known as Tegus or Teguz for short.
And to complete the story of why Tegucigalpa suddenly made an appearance in mainstream media after decades of relative obscurity: there was a coup there last week.
and nowhere can i find anything that says that obama made a faux pas and somehow publicly stated that he didn’t know where the place was – some crazy bloke seems to have gone off on a mad rant and called obama ‘a little black man who doesn’t know where tegucigalpa is’
